"A new wind farm in town helped make our new hospital a reality."

Nancy Carter, Milford, UT

As Director of Nursing, Nancy Carter watches over 23 beds at the Milford Memorial Hospital, which until recently had the oldest operating medical facility in the state of Utah. The town of Milford, Utah was in desperate need of a modern, updated facility to ensure better medical care for its ailing patients.

Shortly after a 200-megawatt wind farm was developed near town, plans were approved for an $8 million renovated hospital. The wind project provided an economic boost to the community, creating significant financial resources to help make the envisioned healthcare facility a reality.

The hospital's evolution meant Nancy could stop worrying about outdated equipment, technical breakdowns, and space constraints. Instead, she and her nurses can now focus on providing the best possible care and treatment to the people in the beds.
